Weekend Recap: We Moved Into Our New Home

We still have alot of work to do, but I wanted to do a blogpost with a glimpse into our new home and home decor from moving over the weekend.

We moved into our new house this weekend and boy, was that an experience at 9 months pregnant. I am so thankful for our family because they were an AMAZING help, like little angels dropped out of heaven. Nesting mode was in 100% overdrive and while our space is still very much a work in progress – we did make some great strides over the weekend. And when I say work in progress, we still have renovations going on and have lots of new furniture on the way so stay tuned for blog updates on that!

I have not decorated our fireplace yet, but I am loving the simplicity of this faux cactus on the corner for now.

Before we moved into our home, my husby and I had a private smudging ceremony to cleanse the space. I can imagine I looked pretty hilarious dancing around our house with my belly + a big ole bushel of burning sage. In fact, I don’t even have to imagine – I know so, because he took a video. You know, for the memories!

Our bedroom is completely bare and I am really digging the empty bedroom vibe. It feels so zen to me! We still haven’t decided the furniture that we want to add in here and I can assure you I am in no hurry. We are being so intentional with the furniture pieces (and well, everything) we bring in!

My favorite thing about sleeping in our new house are these divine Four Seasons Hotel pillows. I am so happy that these are available for sale – they make SUCH a difference in my life. I know that sounds dramatic but it is TRUE. Everyone should try these out. It is magical that we can bring the Four Seasons to us – it’s like our honeymoon every night!

These sparkles represent how I feel when getting into bed with Four Seasons pillows.

Last but not least, here is my favorite candle that I have been lighting all around the house paired with the first thing we got for our new home: an Hermes tray. The candle is a threshold one from Target in the scent Jasmine Bouquet.

That is a wrap on my photo journal from our first weekend in our new home BUT it isn’t a wrap on this blogpost – GIVEAWAY TIME PEEPS!

Congrats to your new home. It’s so exciting to redecorate things again. The cacti looks so nice on its place.
