This outfit combination is an easy way to dress in maternity fashion over the 9 months of rocking your cute little baby bump!

Let me just start out by saying that maternity fashion is actually SO FUN. I wasn’t expecting to love it whenever I saw myself as an oh-so-pregnant cathclaire, but I have genuinely enjoyed dressing with my latest accessory: a baby bump. It’s a fun challenge – you know, dressing like you are hiding a basketball under your skirt. lol
If I’m being completely honest, I haven’t limited myself to purchasing only “maternity” labeled pieces. Some of the maternity pieces I have been wearing (few and far between) are leggings from ASOS, a shawl from HATCH, this rust skirt I am wearing in this blogpost, and the dress I wore to my baby shower (see on instagram here). Aside from those pieces – I have had a lot of fun experimenting with regular (sorry I don’t know what word to use here..) clothing and sizing up – of course, I am sticking to fashion pieces that are more forgiving in the baby bump area. I did alot of this on our babymoon, see what I wore here.

One of my go-to looks has been a high waisted skirt with a tied up collared shirt. I love how this outfit perfectly balances elements of femininity and masculinity in a simple, yet COMFY – bump friendly- outfit. Oh, that’s another thing. I am ALL about comfy. I added another pair of Gucci fur slides to my wardrobe and call them my pregnancy shoes because they seriously are the most comfy shoes to wear – all of the time. I love how the white contrasts my usual all black outfit. You can find the same ones at Bloomingdales here.

I will keep adding blog posts like this for you guys that are looking for maternity fashion inspiration. Don’t forget to check out The Crystal Press for more updates as well! Thank you Halle Kennon for the photos at the Quirk Hotel ๐

One stylish mama!
I wore exclusively non-maternity clothes until probably 7 months. It saved me so much money because the maternity clothes I liked were so pricey. Once I โneededโ maternity clothes, I think I borrowed about 70% from friends and family. Best pregnancy decisions I made!
oh Gosh this is so cute! Definitely saving for the next baby ๐ถ๐ผ
Love it! You can be pregant and fashionable! Sharing with my friend.
