This post was sponsored by Cape Cod® but all opinions are my own.
As you guys know, I lost my Aunt Mary to breast cancer a couple of years ago so this cause and this blog post sponsored by Cape Cod Chips is very close to my heart. I am so honored to work with Cape Cod Chips to spread the news about their new tangy flavor “Himalayan Salt and Red Wine Vinegar” chips in honor of breast cancer awareness month. Not only are these chips delicious but Cape Cod® Potato chips will be donating 5 % of the proceeds (up to $25,000) from each bag purchased to the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers at Dana – Farber. How awesome is that? I love to see Cape Cod doing so much for breast cancer!
I grew up as the oldest girl of 7 brothers. I eventually got myself a little sister, but for the majority of my childhood – I was surrounded by boys. Don’t get me wrong, I love my brothers, but in terms of girly girl things – they weren’t exactly interested.
While I attempted to adopt the tomboy lifestyle – it didn’t stick with me long enough to lose interest in all things fashion and beauty. Needless to say, the times that my Aunt Mary came to visit were highlights of my childhood. She would swoop into town for a few days from whatever bigger city she was living in and she would always be dressed to the nines, hair perfectly done, and a magazine in tow. When you spend the majority of your days outnumbered by boys, this is quite the spectacle. She would take me shopping (just her and I – a real luxury when you are in a large family) and fill me in on her latest shopping mall purchases that she brought with her. She would stay up late, telling me she was night owl and sleep in. I vividly remember her getting up so late in the morning because I would be anxiously waiting her waking up and getting ready for the day. Not only was I excited to see what scheduled activities I could be apart of but I was anxious to learn about her getting ready process. Yes, I would sit outside the bathroom door waiting for the shower water to be off long enough – because that means she is in her robe and I’m allowed to come in the bathroom and watch her make up her face. I can’t imagine how annoying I was constantly asking her “What’s that for?” everytime she pulled something out of her makeup bag…but either way, she graciously entertained me.
As I got older, our conversations shifted from the latest eyeliner or lip gloss that the Olsen twins are wearing to career dreams. I will always cherish her telling me to think bigger, to never sell myself short, and of course – never, ever settle. I began blogging after my Aunt passed but she is an endless source of inspiration and my guardian angel along this journey. As cheesy as it sounds, I hope this blog and the knowledge I share about fashion and beauty and “etc.” provides for you a little bit of what my Aunt gave to me growing up. A little bit of inspiration can go a long way!
Squeeze your loved ones a little harder this month and support Cape Cod & their donations to breast cancer research by trying their new, yummy flavor of salt and vins! Thank you Cape Cod Chips for partnering with my on this post! Xo, Cath

what a great cause! i love when brands and influencers join forces to bring awareness to certain things, such as breast cancer awareness. i need to go grab a bag for myself to help support and because i love potato chips! win-win in my book!
oh, she’s lovely
I can’t even eat chips because I’m allergic to white potatoes, but I’m tempted to make a purchase just to provide any help I can! Anything that pushes research in this area is definitely something I want to support.
I’ve had Cape Cod chips loads of times, but this flavor sounds so good! I think that’s such a great idea to pair it up with a cause. Plus, each bag adds donations for breast cancer research?! I’m sold!
