I have been getting tiny tattoos for about 10 years, so you could say I have built up quite the collection. Whether you are looking for tiny tattoo ideas or just curious about what mine mean, read on!
The first tattoo I got was in college at Virginia Tech (GO HOKIES) and it is an M with a cross on top of it, pictured above on my wrist. This is the symbol on the back of the miraculous medal with the Virgin Mary on the front of it. I am Catholic and have always been drawn to the divine feminine energy. This tattoo symbolizes faith and the power of the divine feminine. Yes, it is in the same place as Kate Moss’s anchor because she is a fashion god.
The second tattoo I got was in Charleston, SC and is matching with one of my GFS Blake. We both got a lambda on our foot that represents energy that defies gravity. This symbol has several different meanings but energy that defies gravity is the one that holds a big meaning to the two of us.
The third tattoo I got is on the inside of my wrist, the opposite arm of my first tattoo, of a tiny triangle. This symbol represents impossibility to me. I always think of the Egyptian pyramids when I look at it and the fact that no one knows how the pyramids were actually built. I love this sense of defying the odds that this symbol represents to me.
The next tattoo I decided to get was an eleven on the inside of my elbow on my arm. There are eleven people in my family. My Dad always stressed the saying “all for one, one for all” and that my siblings are the best friends that will always be there – no matter what and that concept has not only stuck with me, but shaped the person I am today. Do you know how awesome it is to have 8 built in best friends that you can just be yourself with 24/7? Awesome enough to get a tattoo bc of it hahah. Aside from having eleven people in my family, I also love how the two ones are mirrors of each other. This is a constant reminder that we don’t see things as they are, we seem them as WE are. As within, so without.
The fifth tattoo I got is my biggest one and it is “joie de vivre” written in my personal script on my left arm. This saying means “joy of life” and is a tattoo I got after I attended my first Dr. Joe Dispenza workshop in December of 2016. His teachings took my life to the next level, opened my heart so much, and this tattoo is the perfect reminder that joy is a muscle that requires work and not something that just “happens” to you. I hope to embody this saying and bring this energy into every room I walk into!
The sixth tattoo (fueh, this post is a doozy) I got with my husband on our honeymoon in West Palm Beach. We got matching circles on the inside of our left wrist that represent a never ending bond and the vortex of energy that our thoughts are constantly creating for our joint life together. Such a great reminder that your thoughts create your reality, of our life we are building together, and of a great honeymoon! See my full blogpost about our honeymoon at the Four Seasons Palm Beach here.
My latest tattoo I got on my 30th birthday with my best friend Jen. We got dressed up in our wedding dresses and went to get a matching tattoo in Richmond. IT WAS SO FUN AND MEMORABLE! We got a viking symbol that means “create your own reality.” Do you see the theme in my tiny tattoos yet?
Are you a tattoo person? I’d love to hear what you have or your feedback! Love you guys and I hope you enjoyed my post about my loot of tattoos! XOX
